Between 1974 and 1994 Carmen Thomas invented as chief editor and presenter with “WDR Hallo Ü-Wagen” the first interactive broadcasts on radio. For 20 years she interviewed experts and people from the audience weekly 3 hours live on a weekly base. The topics were chosen by listeners themselves ranging from daily life challenges to taboo subjects. In 1976 she developed the first self-help groups in Germany. The business magazine Forbes named her in 1990 to the 100 most influential women of Germany. Carmen Thomas taught for 13 years at universities and is active as a coach since 1980 for people from business, politics, media and institutions. Since 1998, she directs the 1.
